The row2k Super Bowl Challenge

The Super Bowl is just days away, and while two major rowing hubs – Boston and Seattle - faceoff on the field, the rest of us will indulge in wings, pizza and nachos on the couch. And while we never pass off game day food and relaxation, we can't resist issuing a little challenge to keep your blood moving.

The row2k Super Bowl Challenge:

  • 10 jumpies for every touchdown
  • 10 pushups for every field goal
  • 15 burpees if the team you are rooting for is up at the end of each quarter...20 if the opposing team's up
  • 100 jumping jacks to the beat of Katy Perry during the halftime show (another 100 if she pulls a Janet Jackson)
  • 20 crunches for each shot of Belichick
  • 10 lunges for every Gronk catch
  • 5 pullups for every "12th man" reference

 

If these aren't enough for you, we have some more suggestions:

  • Pull a 6k if LeGarrette Blount punches someone....then pull a 2k if that person is one of his teammates
  • Eat a chicken wing for every "I'm just here so I don't get fined" sign in the crowd.
  • Eat a bag of Skittles if Lynch scores a touchdown.
  • Take a shot for every mention of Deflategate...and still try to make it to the boathouse Monday morning.  (This one's for our readers of drinking age. row2k does not condone underage drinking. You know, "stay hydrated, drink a lot of water.")

 

Bonus!

  • 5 minute wall sit if Richard Sherman's baby is born during the game
  • 3 minute plank if you can resist Tom Brady's piercing blue eyes

I decided that I wanted to enjoy the game (working out not counting) so I doubled the reps for the first half (ie 20 jumpies for the touchdown etc.) and I'm taking the second half of. It was not a fun half but here we are now... GO PACK GO (yeah I'm confused)
